Local LGBT Pride Festival gearing up for 7th annual event

Lake Charles Pride (LC Pride) is preparing for its seventh annual festival, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, from 12:30-6:30 p.m. at Touloulou’s on the beachfront at the L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles.

The LC Pride Celebration is a daylong event that brings the LGBT community and supporters together for a day filled with activities, entertainment, food and live performances showcasing local artists.

Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the festival.

Live performances include Tim Norris, Aep, Rox Daigre, and Brandi Alyse, as well as a preview of KC Productions’ The Rocky Horror Show. Dancers Courtney Ward and Kayla Bruce, winners of this year’s LC Pride Open Mic competition, will also be featured at the festival.

LC Pride also invites local businesses and individuals to participate in the celebration with a vendor or resource table at the festival. These collaborations give businesses and non-profits in Southwest Louisiana an opportunity to promote their products and services while gaining exposure.
