McNeese Women's Golf Team drops three spots to 14th place at Citrus Challenge

McNeese women’s golf team dropped three spots to 14th place following a second round 316 on Monday at the Morehead State Citrus Challenge. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.

Elon and James Madison are both tied for the team leads with 597’s. Rounding out the Top 5 is Western Kentucky (602) and Morehead State, Ball State and North Florida are all tied for 4th place with 604’s.

Both Maiken Bing Paulsen and Sofie Winther shot the low round of the day for the Cowgirls. Both shot 77’s. Paulsen is the Cowgirl leader who is tied for 13th place with a 149. Winther is tied for 24th place with a 152. Meiyi Pan is tied for 68th place with a 159 after a second round of 78. Kaitlin Fox shot a second round 84 and is tied for 94th place with Kennedy Bodfield. Bodfield shot an 85 in Monday’s second round.

Ashlynn Novak is tied for 22nd place following her second round of 78 for a 151 total.

Elon’s Kelsey Badmaev is the individual leader with a two under 142. After a first round of even par 72, Badmaev followed that with a round of two under 70.
