The Contraband
The McNeese State University Department of Performing Arts will present Victor Medina on trumpet in a free junior recital at 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church (4020 Hodges St.).
He will be assisted by Lina Morita, piano, Eleanor Elkins, organ, and the McNeese Honors Brass Quintet - Eli Cutler, Roxie Davis, Micheal Farrar and Andrew Usie.
Pieces from the program include “Boutade” by Pierre Gabaye; “Trumpet Concerto in D Major” by Johann Friedrich Fasch; “Sonata for Trumpet and Piano” by Eric Ewazen; “The Debutante (Caprice Brillante)” by Herbert L. Clarke; “Concerto for Trumpet” by John Addison; and “Brass Quintet No. 1” by Victor Ewald.
Medina is a music performance major from Houston, Texas. At McNeese, he is a member of the wind symphony, The Pride of McNeese Cowboy Marching Band, symphonic band and jazz band.
