McNeese State's Emily Vincent named to Fastpitch News top 50 pitchers list

McNeese State’s Emily Vincent has been named to the Fastpitch News (FPN) Top 50 pitchers as released by the organization.

The ranking was derived from numerous statistics to formulate a total score. Strength of schedule was also taken into account for more grueling schedules. We will breakdown our top 10 for you and list the rest of the players. Note that these are based on statistics and are not based on our subjective opinions.
There is a wealth of pitching around the country this season. The top 10 alone combined for a mind numbing 2,547 strikeouts last season. A total of three underclassman made the top 10.
The native of Sulphur, Louisiana, Vincent led McNeese with a 14-6 overall record and an record last season and a team low ERA (2.15) that ranked second in the Southland Conference. Vincent also led McNeese with 105 strikeouts and 117.1 innings pitched.
