Local photographer to exhibit in New Orleans

Local photographer, Tim Fontenot, is having an exhibit at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Fourteen prints from his Southwest Louisiana collection will be on display for one month beginning March 1st. Nine color prints and five black & white prints will be displayed in a main corridor to the medical center’s entrance. Fontenot will be part of a rotating exhibit at Ochsner’s, which is to promote a positive healing atmosphere.

Tim Fontenot’s photographic niche is creating fine art landscapes, wildlife, and nature images. He has been shooting images of south Louisiana and beyond since 1975. Fontenot is and has been a resident of Moss Bluff since 1967, and is a native of Lake Charles.

Tim has had several exhibits in Calcasieu Parish. This will be his first exhibit outside of his home parish.

Tim is a member of: Associated Louisiana Artists (ALA), the Louisiana Artist Roster, a board member of the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana, and the Regional Arts Network (RAN). Several of Tim’s pieces can be seen and purchased at Gallery by the Lake at 106 W. Pryce St. in Lake Charles. About art, Fontenot says, “The highest compliment one can give an artist is to buy his work.”
