Redbox, America's destination for new-release movie and video game rentals, has released its findings on the most romantic cities in America, based on rentals of romance and rom-com movies in 2015. Some of the popular titles that got hearts fluttering in 2015 include “The Wedding Ringer,” “Trainwreck” and “Paper Towns.”
Taking the top spot for most romantic cities in the U.S.: a tie between Columbus, Mississippi, and Lake Charles, Louisiana, both newcomers to the rankings. Below is the top-10 list of most romantic cities in the country:

Redbox also released the results of a Valentine’s Day survey of more than 5,000 customers that found 'dinner and a movie' is the top choice for date night and a laugh-out-loud comedy is the best genre for date night. The survey also revealed that “The Notebook” continues to reign as the best date night movie of all time, and the most memorable on-screen kiss from the same epic love tale goes to Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Respondents also chose Jennifer Lawrence and Channing Tatum as top picks for the dreamiest Valentine.

The Redbox survey polled more than 5,000 Redbox customers nationwide via email in January 2016. City data based on romantic-movie rentals is proportional to total rentals per location.
