McNeese hosts Gerry Wubben exhibit

McNeese State University art professor Gerry Wubben has a solo exhibit opening Thursday, Jan. 28, with a reception from 6-8 p.m. in the Grand Gallery of McNeese’s Shearman Fine Arts Annex. 

The exhibit will feature over 200 iPad drawings that measure 44 x 30 inches and will be on display through March 11.

Wubben, who has taught printmaking and drawing at McNeese since 1987, received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University and his Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University.

He has exhibited artwork in over 300 regional, national and international exhibitions and 26 solo exhibitions. He is a recipient of the McNeese Alumni Association’s Distinguished Faculty Award and the Lake Charles Mayor’s Awards for Artist of the Year and Art Instructor of the Year.
