The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host an opening reception for two art exhibits from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in the Grand Gallery of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex. The reception will coincide with the citywide Annual Gallery Promenade 2015.
The McNeese State University Department of Visual Arts will host an opening reception for two art exhibits from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in the Grand Gallery of the Shearman Fine Arts Annex. The reception will coincide with the citywide Annual Gallery Promenade 2015.
Associate art professor Larry Schuh’s exhibit, “Illuminare,” features a series of digitally manipulated photographs that will be on display in the Grand Gallery mezzanine through Nov. 6.
The Annual Faculty Exhibition features 45 recent works by visual arts faculty members through a variety of media including ceramics, drawing, graphic design, illustration, bookarts, painting, photography, printmaking and mixed media. This exhibit will be on display in the Grand Gallery through Dec. 11.
Artists featured include Cynthia Baskin, Ken Baskin, Martin Bee, Meghan Fleming, Heather Ryan Kelley, Cassandra Read, Lisa Reinauer, Lynn Reynolds, Schuh, Lewis Temple, Samantha VanDeman and Gerry Wubben.
The gallery is open to the public from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, contact the visual arts department at 337-475-5060.
